In a significant step to strengthen staff welfare and administrative efficiency, the leadership of the Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria, UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo Branch has officially laid the foundation for its new office complex.
The Chief Medical Director of the hospital, Dr. Babatunde Afolabi who led the foundation-laying commended the leadership of the Union for this great and laudable initiative adding that future generations of health care workers will benefit from this great move.
While commending the Head of Medical Records, Mr. Mutiu Murainah and the Chairman of MHWUN, Comrade Niyi Owolade for the roles they played in making the project a reality, Dr Babatunde Afolabi emphasized that mutual collaboration between the Management and Union leaders provide and enhance functional conducive workspace for all staff.
Dr. Afolabi assured the Union that the Management is ready to give all necessary supports needed in order to ensure speedy completion of the project and also encouraged all members to stand by their leaders.
To support the Secretariat building project, the Chief Medical Director pledged a Total support from him and the entire Management Committee towards the actualization of the project.
In response, Mr. Mutiu Murainah appreciated the CMD for the fatherly roles he played to support the Union to achieve this milestone. He described the project as a long awaited one which reflects the unity and commitment of members to growth and development.
A special prayer was offered for the successful completion of the project by the Director of Finance, Mr. Banji Ajiteru, Director of Works, Engr. Lanre Oladunjoye respectively.
The groundbreaking ceremony has in attendance members of the Management committee and some members of Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria.
