The accreditation Team from the Medical Laboratory Science Council of Nigeria recently visited the Hospital as part of their official assessment of the institution’s Medical Laboratory Science training facilities for students of Adeleke University, Ede.
Speaking during the meeting, the leader of the accreditation team , Prof. Chris Igbeneghu commended the management committee of the hospital for its commitment to quality health care delivery and professional training.
Prof. Igheneghu stated that the purpose of the visit was to evaluate the hospital’s available facilities, staff strength, and compliance with the standards required for the training of Medical Laboratory Science students.
He emphasized that accreditation is essential to ensure that students receive quality education and practical exposure necessary for professional excellence.
In his response, the Chief Medical Director Dr. Babatunde Afolabi who was ably represented by the Deputy Chairman, Medical Advisory Committee, Training and Research (DMAC), Dr. Mrs.Bolaji Adeyemo welcomed the Team and expressed appreciation for their visit. She disclosed that the hospital is committed to providing a conducive learning environment for staff and students, assuring the team that the hospital is ready to cooperate fully with them and work on all necessary loopholes.
Dr. Adeyemo further highlighted recent improvements made in the different laboratory Departments which includes upgrading and provision of modern equipment needed in the laboratory.
In attendance were other delegates of the accreditation team, Head, Medical Laboratory Science, Mrs Rashida Hassan, Head, Chemical Pathology, Mr. Gazal Raheem and Dr. Busira Tijani of the Hematology Department .
