The Chief Medical Director UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Osogbo, Dr. Babatunde Afolabi has described the Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke as a workers friendly Governor who is passionate about the welfare of workers in the State.
Dr. Afolabi stated this while hosting the Commissioner for Information & Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi and the spokesperson to the Osun State Governor, Mallam Olawale Rasheed during a visit to the gunshot victims undergoing treatment in the hospital.
The CMD said the transformational development and the exceptionally dedicated staff seen in the hospital is the evidence of the magnanimity of the Government to the hospital in terms of the regularization of the 2012/2013 staff, payment of Pension, prompt payment of salary, promotion as and when due and the proper placement of casual workers which he said has motivated the hospital staff to put in their best in the discharge of their duties.
He therefore thanked Governor Adeleke for all he is doing for the hospital to make it the best Tertiary Health Institution in Osun State and its environs.
Dr. Afolabi disclosed that the gunshot victims admitted in the hospital are well taken care of and are recuperating well.
While responding, the Commissioner for information & Public Enlightenment, Oluomo Kolapo Alimi commended the CMD for carrying his personal zeal to his job and assures the hospital of the government's continuous support in ensuring that the hospital can stand tall among other Tertiary Health Institutions around.
In his comment, Mallam Olawale Rasheed gave kudos to the CMD and the entire staff of the hospital for their prompt response to all the victims brought to the hospital recently and in the past as they are well taken care of by the medical team.
He appreciates the efforts of the Management of the hospital at repositioning the hospital to be better than what it was in the past as it now wears a new look with quality health care delivery and more dedicated staff.
Mallam Rasheed revealed that they were sent by Mr. Governor to check on the welfare of the victims and ascertain their present state of health.
