A delegation from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC) has lauded the management of the hospital for the remarkable transformation and significant improvements recorded within the hospital.
The delegation made the commendation during a courtesy and facility assessment visit to the office of the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Babatunde Afolabi.
Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the USCDC team leader Mr. Chukwudi Onwuchekwa appreciated and commended the management committee of the hospital for promoting quality health care delivery in the hospital.
Mr. Onwuchekwa emphasized that the organization ' s major aim is to give technical support to the hospital by strengthening collaboration in public health, disease surveillance and providing comprehensive feedback on ethics to the hospital beneficiaries.
He added that collaboration and partnerships with the hospital will help in addressing various health challenges in the society and plays a vital role in strengthening disease surveillance systems and improving outbreak responses.
In response, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Babatunde Afolabi expressed appreciation to the US CDC for its longstanding support in strengthening health systems and improving public health outcomes.
Dr. Afolabi disclosed that the hospital is committed to providing quality health care delivery in patient care, adding that partnerships with international organizations will yield a very Impactful partnership, saying that the partnership would benefit both institutions and the society at large .
In attendance were the hospital 's Director of Works and Services, Engr. Lanre Oladunjoye and other representatives from the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (US CDC)
