JNC INTERNATIONAL LIMITED TRAINS ANAESTHESIA/ICU STAFF OF UTHO

Members of staff of the Anaesthesia/ICU Department played host to the Clinical Training Specialists from the JNC International Limited who supplied the newly donated Ventilators for the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) of the hospital.

The team leader from the JNC International Limited, Mrs Adeola Olafimihan said the essence of the training is to ensure that the staff are made conversant with the globally acceptable standard on the use and care of the new ventilators.

Mrs Olafimihan took the participants through a detailed, thorough and practical training on the use of the recently supplied Ventilators while the participants asked questions in gray areas in the course of the training.

In a chat with the Media Team of the hospital, the Chief Medical Director, Dr. Babatunde Afolabi appreciated the JNC Team for making time to train the staff. He implored the end users to apply the training in carrying out their duties in the ICU.

The CMD also urged the staff to make good use of the equipment and ensure that they are well maintained.

In a reaction, the Deputy CMAC,  Clinicals, Dr. Emmanuel Folami disclosed that the training is organized to acquaint the staff of the ICU with the correct use of the new Ventilators for optimum use adding that the ICU will begin full operations by admitting more patients after the training which will last for two days.

It would be recalled that the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church, Pastor Enoch Adeboye and his wife, Mrs Folu Adeboye recently made a donation worth over Three Hundred and Eighty Million Naira to the hospital by equipping the ICU.

Also present at the training were the Director of Nursing Services, Mrs Beatrice Anihuntodun, Deputy Director of Nursing Services (Administration), Mrs Oluyemisi Akinleye, members of the JNC team and Anaesthesia/ICU staff.
