The Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, Larooye II, has allocated a parcel of land for the construction of a modern healthcare center within the town.
The new facility is expected to replace the old building previously used for the same purpose, which was established during the administration of the immediate past Chief Medical Director of UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital.
It would be recalled that the Chief Medical Director of UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital, Dr. Babatunde Afolabi in company of the Special Adviser to the Governor on Primary Healthcare Services, Dr. Micheal Oyerinde recently inspected the health center and the inspection was to map out working strategies for the realization of the project and ensure it meets modern healthcare standards.
Speaking during the visit, the Ataoja of Osogboland, Oba Jimoh, Laonipekun Oyetunji Laaroye II thanked the *Osun State Governor, Senator Ademola Jackson Nurudeen Adeleke for the implementation of the project. He noted that when completed, the facility will serve as a full-fledged Primary Healthcare Center that will improve access to quality health services for the people of Osogbo and its environs.
The monarch commended the state government and the hospital management for their commitment to strengthening healthcare delivery in the state, and pledged the support and cooperation of the palace toward the successful execution of the project.
