ARD Executives Meet with the CMD
The executives of the Association of Resident Doctors (ARD), UTH, led by President Dr. Ajibade Philip, recently convened with Chief Medical Director (CMD) Dr. Afolabi Babatunde Adeola. This meeting was organized by the immediate past president of the ARD to introduce and familiarize the new executives with the CMD.
The CMD welcomed the executive members warmly, embodying his usual lively and charismatic demeanor. He reaffirmed his administration's commitment to its outlined agenda, which emphasizes staff welfare, the enhancement of service quality, collaboration with investors and well-meaning individuals to upgrade hospital infrastructure, and partnerships with government agencies, ministries, and parastatals. Additionally, the CMD emphasized the importance of discipline and accountability among staff, encouraging the executives to represent the hospital positively and to collaborate with management to achieve these goals.
Immediate past president Dr. Ojo John Oluwadamilola introduced the executive members and assured the CMD of a collaborative and diligent following from ARD members.
In his remarks, Dr. Ajibade expressed gratitude to the CMD for his clear vision and comprehensive plans aimed at enhancing the hospital's service and influence. He highlighted several challenges facing the residents, including the deplorable state of hospital infrastructure, the lack of accreditation in major hospital departments, delays in the payment of accoutrement allowances, and the absence of essential equipment required for effective patient management.
The CMD assured the executives that progress is being made on the issues raised and that he will continue to strive for excellence in healthcare delivery at UTH Osogbo.
The meeting concluded with the CMD expressing appreciation for the executive members and offering prayers for the president and executives.
