HOSPITAL GRAND ROUND: DR. AFOLABI COMMENDS PHILANTHROPISTS, IMPLORES STAFF TO BE MORE DEDICATED TO WORK
The UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital recently held its monthly Grand Round, a pivotal event aimed at enhancing staff knowledge and promoting excellence in patient care. The lecture, delivered by Dr. Akinlawon Adepeju, Deputy Director of Medical Laboratory Services, emphasized the significance of staff attitude in ensuring patient satisfaction. Dr. Adepeju urged staff to adopt a positive attitude, demonstrate empathy, and work collaboratively as a team.
The Chief Medical Director, Dr. Babatunde Afolabi, commended the Organizing Committee for the impactful event and reiterated the importance of maintaining a positive attitude, which fosters mutual respect. He also expressed gratitude to philanthropists who have supported the hospital's transformational agenda through generous donations. Dr. Afolabi acknowledged the contributions of several donors, including Alhaji Ajani Najeem Babatunde, who donated a motorized borehole valued at ?4.5 million, and others who provided bedsheets, equipment, and funds. These donations have enabled the hospital to acquire essential equipment, such as laptops, projectors, and public address systems.
The Grand Round serves as a platform for the hospital to promote excellence and foster a culture of teamwork in service delivery. The event was well-attended by the hospital's Management Committee, Heads of Departments/Units, and staff members.
