UNIOSUN TEACHING HOSPITAL ORGANISES RETREAT FOR STAFF TO BOOST COMPETENCE AND PRODUCTIVITY

In just 100 days as Chief Medical Director of UniOsun Teaching Hospital, Dr Afolabi Babatunde has demonstrated visionary leadership, with a clear focus on excellence and innovation. His transformative agenda, anchored on strategic planning, innovation, entrepreneurship, leadership development, culture, and engagement, has set a new tone for progress and unity within the institution.
A testament to Dr Afolabi's exceptional leadership is the ongoing two-day retreat at Double Hill Hotel, Iragbiji, Osun State – a first in the hospital's 30-year history. While delivering his opening remarks, Dr Afolabi reiterated the retreat's purpose: to empower, inspire, and foster growth.
The retreat focuses on three pivotal areas:
1. Icebreaker Activities: Recognising the importance of collaboration and interpersonal connections within the hospital environment, fostering trust, camaraderie, and teamwork.
2. Wellness Activities: Understanding the demanding nature of healthcare jobs and prioritising relaxation and rejuvenation for personal safety and wellbeing.
3. Leadership Skills Development: Dr Babatunde's focus on leadership development, coupled with his belief in the power of knowledge and skills, motivated him to invite resourceful facilitators to train staff and equip them with the latest information.
According to testimonies from selected delegates, the first day was a resounding success, filled with new insights, productive interactions, and a shared vision of excellence. As the second day promises even more valuable sessions, UniOsun Teaching Hospital staff are set to return to their duties revitalised and inspired.
