The Management of UniOsun Teaching Hospital has noted with dismay the misleading and inaccurate report published by The Point News on April 28, 2025, authored by one Timothy Agbor, which falsely claimed that the hospital’s toilets were unavailable for use.
Contrary to the baseless assertions in the said publication, the hospital’s sanitation facilities have consistently been functional, except for a brief two-day period during which routine maintenance was carried out on the water tank and sanitation system. Even during this period, alternative facilities were provided to ensure uninterrupted convenience for patients, staff, and visitors.
The Management finds it deeply disheartening that The Point News would resort to spreading false information, possibly in a bid to sensationalize issues or attract undue attention. Such reckless journalism is not only defamatory but also misleads the public, creating unnecessary panic and distrust in a reputable institution dedicated to quality healthcare delivery.
We hereby urge the public to disregard this unfounded report in its entirety. UniOsun Teaching Hospital remains committed to upholding the highest standards of hygiene, patient care, and service delivery. Our facilities are regularly inspected and maintained to ensure a clean, safe, and conducive environment for all.
